This perfectly thin bowl is named Rough Seas for more than just the obvious colors. The recessed sides were expertly shaved down while keeping the rough uneven top. The uneven top dramatically added to the level of difficulty. So much so that it lead to a lot of bruised & bloody knuckles but was definitely worth the finished appearance. Derek considers this one of his favorite and most technical pieces. This is due to the perfect 3mm thickness top to bottom, degree of difficulty, colors, and permanent high gloss epoxy resin finish.
